The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan announced that the ground forces have launched a training program for instructors who will teach troops how to use small arms to shoot down drones. The training takes place at a military facility in Astana, located at Unit 68665, where specialized infrastructure has been established to simulate combat conditions involving drone systems. The exercises are supervised by Major General Mereck Kuchekbayeva, Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces.

This training is expected to enhance the combat readiness of Kazakhstan’s ground forces and support the modernization of training practices. Kazakhstan has been intensifying efforts to adapt its military to an environment where unmanned systems play an increasingly important role.
