🔴Urgent Notice: Nationwide Drone Ban in Thailand Effective from July 30, 2025 to August 15, 2025. This ban was issued one day after the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) deployed Lockheed Martin F-16 fighter jets and Saab Gripen fighters in military operations in Myanmar.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has issued a temporary nationwide ban on all drone flights, effective from July 30, 2025, to August 15, 2025, until further notice. Amid escalating tensions along the Thailand-Cambodia border, this move aims to safeguard national security.
During this period, the operation of any unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) nationwide is strictly prohibited. Violators may face up to one year of imprisonment, a fine of up to 40,000 Thai Baht, or both. The military and security forces are authorized to shoot down or otherwise neutralize unauthorized drones deemed a threat.
CAAT urges the public to fully cooperate by suspending all drone operations during this period to help maintain national peace and support security efforts.
