Ukrainian company Vyriy Drone has developed a new FPV drone, the MAX 15, designed to destroy Russian defensive positions and rear infrastructure. According to the National Association of Defense Industry of Ukraine (NAUDI), the MAX 15 demonstrated high efficiency during testing. It is the largest drone in the VYRIY series: a 15-inch FPV platform capable of carrying up to 30 kilograms of payload at distances up to 8 kilometers.
Vyriy Drone stated, “Under favorable conditions, it can cover up to 50 kilometers — depending on the type of ammunition, battery, and repeater configuration.”

With a three-stage warhead activation system and high strike accuracy, the MAX 15 can perform missions beyond the capabilities of smaller drones. This drone is designed to target priority objectives that require long-range reach, high firepower, and reliability.
The MAX 15 drone has been assigned a designation by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and has passed combat testing without requiring any design modifications. Developers stated, “The warhead activation system features triple-layer protection and has earned the crew’s trust due to its reliable performance and user-friendly design.”

As early as March 2025, VYRIY produced the first batch of 1,000 fully Ukrainian-made FPV drones. The company can assemble drones entirely from Ukrainian-manufactured parts, including cameras and electronic equipment. To achieve this, Vyriy localized the production of frames, launch boards, flight controllers, and radio control systems. Other components, such as video transmitters and cameras, are supplied by Ukrainian companies D1 and Odd Systems.
